I was hoping to get a ladies' team together and not sure we would agree to weighing in in our pants.

Exactly, whining biatch. Just man up admit you were beaten by a better team and move on, instead of crying because you got dirt in your fanny.

An extra set of scales please as the others broke!!!!!!! We were a
lightweight team and we ended up being put up against a clearly heavyweight team even though they said they wasn't it was
plainly obvious to see they were heavyweights and weighed more than the
limit, the scales were broken so they couldnt be weighed again
but then 2 of them offered to drop out which to everyone was a sign of guilt

Cheers
And heres the reply from John fuggles at jae.....

Quote:
Hi Martyne,

Trophies for first place only, sorry.

The ToW for next year is being changed, but you will find out more about
that nearer the time. Safe to say this issue won't happen again

Regards
John

Oh yes, poor sportsmanship if im being blunt.

We were not clearly a heavyweight team, the open weight team had 2 different people in it who were a lot heavier, the light weight team is 640kg, we weighed in at 638kg according to the JAE organisers scales. They weighed us in and did the adding up, nothing to do with us!!!!!

Guys offered to drop out or swap because we wanted to get on with it, there is no guilt, as far as everyone is concerned we were within the weight. It was only the GTO club that fussed, the Celica boys were fine, they had a big team as well.

We decided to take a heavier guy out and replace with a very light guy as a show of good faith.

Enough is enough, I seriously cannot believe someone would complain to the organisers about this, then join another forum and gob off about it....... Its a couple of fun events at a car show, not the Olympics!!!!!

Hi Julian

Thank you for signing up! I will be straight with you, I am a seasoned member of the TOW team for a number of years and unfortunately i could not pull this year but hey ho. Fair play for turning out a team to have a go. As has been said the TOW is something that we on MR2OC and the other events have great pride in taking part of. Every year I taken part the protocol has been the same and you are the first person i am aware to actually sign up to the forum to continue your issue

I think the fact that you feel so strongly as to go to the JAE organizers is quite sad, personally you made the choice to have some children on there to counteract some of the larger guys you had and that didn't work... I'm sorry but why not next year have men instead?

Everything that you had done stinks of bad sportsmanship and being a sore losser is that what you want to encourage in your younger members and the youth of today!
Also the younger members of your club at the prize giving when our members received the rewards for their hard days work participating in the events were muttering and whispering about "cheats" when we don't do that as we actively take part in the day which has been planned and programmed.

I personally think you should apologise for your rudeness... I cant imagine that anyone from here signed up on your forum to rub it in your face that we won and you LOST.

:jae: :th:.
