For obvious reasons I am not looking in here as much as I normally would but I notice that Wedgey is heading on the highland drive this year .... my god!!! Looks like the pace will be hotter than 2012 ;) :D

I remember trying to follow Ian through Glencoe on the run home in 2010, along with Al (sonic shad tubby) - such a drive that was

Have a good trip guys :th:

Also, good luck with the pool comp this year. Without the Irish contingent you all have more of a chance to reach the final :bleh:

Sounds like a plan. Same place?
How about the Trough of Bowland again on the way to Tebay?
Has Wedgey driven it? If not, it will get his juices flowing.
:D

Oh yes. 2009 - my first Highland Drive. I won't mention the exact number of leptons.
The weather that year was awesome. Totally cloudless skies for the first 3 days.

Btw - was in convoy with your Rev 3 tubby on Tuesday last week. :)

It's a tad surreal - his tubby currently resides less than 5 miles from me.
Unfortunately it won't be making an appearance on the Drive this year.
I have suggested to its owner that he starts saving up for 2014...

Don't think I'll make the early start this year, Al usually takes his kids to school before coming to mine so it'll probably by 9:30 - 10:00 before we start out. Will still see everyone at Tebay though.

I trust it was sounding as good as ever??? I think he was a little wary of the car when I was handing over the keys, hopefully he realises what a bargain he got and drives it like he stole it :D

Yep. I think he's getting the hang of it - already muttering about an uprated intercooler...

I will see you fine people either at Tebay or Dumbarton Travel Lodge.
One of my fellow old managers who left last year moved back to Scotland (Dunoon) and I have arranged to go and see him either the day before the HD or the day after the HD.
It will probably be the day following on from Perth as it will probably be a long session
So a slow drive next day will be the order of the day.
I think the HD would need more of clear head than a slow drive back down the M6 ;)

Will post nearer the date when all arrangements have been made.
