Re: Highland drive 2014....The Aftermath!!
Thanks to the organisers and participants of this excellent adventure, my Dad and I had a ball and have memories to treasure thanks to your work, efforts and banter.
The company over the weekend was fantastic, was great to meet up with some old hands and make new friends. I would drive to the gates of hell and back with any of you, fast, courteous and safe. As my Dad said it was a 2 weeks tour of the highlands in fast forward. I also need to be drunker before taking part in future pool contests (well done Pete, Pressure is for tyres )
HM its a baptism of fire for windscreens on the highland run, my one week old one remained uncracked (thank feck). On the highland run not having your windscreen cracked is an accident I will get up later get photos up later.
Should anybody have a sniffle, my apologies and I recommend 2 clove of garlic whole and 7-8 hot whiskeys . Worked for me anyway
What a weekend, thanks again all.

Re: Highland drive 2014....The Aftermath!!
Took the scenic route home. A lot of heavy showers in various places. Over the fells it was low cloud cover which meant almost zero visibility. Even with dipped beam and foglights it makes driving over blind crests quite interesting! A complete contrast to superb weather we had up in Scotland which was even better than 2009 when there was no view to be enjoyed from the top of the Bealach.
Stayed with my sister last night and am now back at base. Total mileage covered: exactly 2000 (the numbers rolled over just as I was about to park up). My windscreen survived this year but the nosecone and lip will need another session in the paint shop.
A big thank you to our hosts who put together yet another cracking Drive. Skye Saturday was epic! Place already reserved for next year.
Have now got to find some time to trawl through my pics. Hehehe...

You seem to have captured a flying haggis in a few of your shots, very rare indeed. They look a lot like a wee flying rabbit, but it's clearly a haggis you've captured in the top right there.
Excellent pics, glad the weather was spot on for you all.

A suggestion for the Mods. Can pics and vids be hived off to their own a separate thread as in previous years? Makes locating them much easier for posterity.

I had noticed that haggis following us the whole trip! Seems it may also have foowed me home
Those were from my iphone camera which seems to have dirt in the lens! No idea how to clean it though.

Well, after having got Lui's new windscreen fitted it had a mark on it so he'll have to have another one
