I've got a room at Swindon north premiere inn on the fri night. It's about 40 mins from coombe and was only £32

So, if we pick up the Essex lot at Brentwood services
I can meet you at Brentwood services!! What time are you thinking??
That will depend on the timings from Jay. It will be an early start though as it's a ~2hr15min drive from Brentwood to Castle Combe with no stops, assuming traffic conditions are decent!
I went through the North Circular last year, was pretty easy and traffic up until the last roundabout was fine. I think I left at 5

Long day....

We spent over an hour there last year! I don't mind picking people up for a convoy (*ahem* Tony! *ahem*) but I ain't hanging around there. Some of us have cars to get on track ;)
Moi? Pas du tout! I think you will find I'm due on track before you...

I will be joining the M4 at Chievely Services as I live just down the road from Newbury

So if there is a planned meet then I'm in!

Not even sure how to reach Gate A at Combe anyway so following someone who does would be excellent!

Hopefully there will be less traffic as some Knob won't slide into an XF this year ;)

I'm aiming for 05.30 & leaving no later than 06.00 as I have track time booked.
Being stuck in a queue is not an option...

Have you been before? Trust me, it's pot luck how long you have to queue.
You never know what external factors will screw things up.

2012. 10th anniversary record attendance + inept gate marshalling = 4 hours stuck in a queue.
2013. About 15-20 minutes crawl: not too bad.
2014. Some twonk having an accident + Badminton Horse Trials the same day = a repeat of 2012.

The run in from the Chippenham direction is usually worse but it makes no sense to go that way to reach gate A.

Your call though. :)

Any update on the Brentwood timings?

OK, Jay has made a thread here:

http://mr2oc.co.uk/forums/134/163291.html

To make Chieveley for 5.30am to 6am we'd need to leave Brentwood at by 4.15am. Assuming perfect travel conditions and sensible speeds, it will take just under 1hr30mins to get there.

Let's get a list of everyone who will meet at Brentwood at that time.

Brentwood meeting point: https://goo.gl/maps/EK942 (It's a Shell, not a Total!) Should be plenty of room at that time in the morning.
