A leaking VSV will cause a bit of a vac leak. Temporarily pull off and block the solenoid vac hoses from the inlet mani until the solenoid leak is sorted (a new/used vsv will be needed).r2d2 wrote:Any tips on temporarily disabling the acis?
My solenoid is leaking air.
This will leave the acis butterflies open as the actuator will be out of action.
Unless you are constantly revving above 5k rpm I'd close off the actuator mechanism. You can do this by moving the mechanism by hand and secure it in place with a cable tie. This will give the best performance overall without too much loss top end. You'll lose low end power with the butterflies always open.
Then once the solenoid is fixed reconnect the vac hoses and cut the cable tie off.
