Fair enough: the bit I quoted is on page 2. Extra seat for you at our table now sorted. :th:

'cos I'm nice like that. ;)

Damnit, Autoglass can't get to me until Tuesday now :(

They have put a note in that I'm interested in any cancelation slots but that seems a long shot.

Stood out in the rain grinding off the rust for a couple of hours (hand tools only!!) all to make this meet. shizbits!!

Oh well at least the rust isn't bad at all and cleaned up well. Spose I've got time to paint the area properly now.

Better bet on me not making it Tony, shame as been looking forward to this for weeks.

Autoglass aren't the only outfit in town.
Did you try National Windscreens?

Thing is I've paid for it already. AG came out and removed the screen on Tuesday but after 2 days of flapping around trying to sort the issue while dodging the rain and doing a 9-17:30 job is a pain in the rear..

They have the glass to fit just can't fit me in till then. The guy said there are 7 of them working in the area, they must be busy!

Spose could ask if I can borrow the company car over the weekend just to meet at the pub. The poxy astra pile-o-poop is good for little else other than making the 9 mile walk to work a little faster. Or maybe the housemate's Alfa 1.6.

Meh, fingers crossed someone cancels on Saturday. Going to clean the area up properly and put the touch-up paint on the bare metal areas now that there is time.

Fook: AG have left you without a screen for a whole week in the current s**t weather!
If that's the best they can do I wouldn't touch them with the proverbial 10ft bargepole.

Assuming you don't get a cancellation and can borrow a set of wheels by all means join us at the pub. Don't even mind you tagging along at the back on the run if it's the Alfa but we definitely can't have an Astra!

Sorry I couldn't make it! The crap weather yesterday meant I didn't have time to fix my alternator properly (the lock nut had sheared). I was fully expecting to have to remove the alternator and drill out the remains of the bolt, but it turns out that over the week (been driving it in a bodged state), the remains of the bolt worked it's way out so it only took 15 mins this morning to fix it. I can only assume the clunk I heard the other day was that bolt escaping :laughing

Been playing mechanic with a friends bay window camper all day instead.

Will see you all at the next one!

The beginning and end sections were. The middle one was different (via Headcorn).

Everyone seemed to enjoy it. That pink/red car was a PITA though...

 No worries. A pity you didn't realise sooner that it was such an easy fix. T-bars off weather too!
