Likewise. Had a rear braided line fail during the MOT test. Glad I put it in early as it could have been a bit 'interesting' if it had happened on Sunday morning...
Turned out that it hadn't been installed correctly (not by me or Patrick). It had been slightly twisted thus chafing slightly on the inner arch for a considerable time. Also discovered one of the rear inner pads was worn very unevenly (tapered), plus both rear discs had become lipped over the years (Carbotechs are quite aggresssive). Decide to bite the bullet, so new rear rotors + pads, and a complete set of 4 new braided lines.
Pads bedded in now and ready for KR action.
With the recent cc rad failure (replaced the pump as well as a precaution) and having to get new headlight casings from Rogue to replace the old rusted out ones my credit card has taken a proper hammering over the last few weeks.
No respite next month either as our son decided some time ago to chose that one for his wedding.
