Windshield wiper linkage problem

Post by mikehn »

Hi all Hoping for a bit of direction on my problem. I believe that I have a linkage issue. I installed the linkage and motor from a donor car. I checked the motor before install. The switch is sending power to the wiring block for the motor. When flicking the indicator switch the motor attempts to respond. Can anyone suggest a way to set the linkage or direct me to any site that could help. Thanks in advance.

I think you have a wiring problem if flicking the indicator switch operates the wipers.

Thanks Jimi, my post obviously wasnt worded correctly, switching the wipers on, the arms do not move, when this is done the motor attempts to operate, so I reckon that the linkage which I replaced is set up incorrectly.any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Take the linkage off at the motor end and see if the motor runs correctly. If it does its probably the linkage, if it doesn't then it could be a motor/switch/wiring fault.
