3sfe no power on load
Hi guys,
Just done the cam belt on my mk2 rev1 3sge and it stars and idles fine however it dies as soon as you try and pull away.
I have checked the timing marks multiple times and they are all good however I have found a stray wire with a spade connection on the end coming out of the section of loom that goes over the cam cover.
Looked in the BGB and cannot see any mention of where it belongs anyone got any ideas! It's a single core with some heat proof insulation on

Hey
Do you have a picture of the issue?
Also the title of the thread says 3sfe. But you introduce your car as a rev1 3sge. Which is it?

Re: 3sfe no power on load
Sorry its a 3sfe I will grab a photo later the connection has been hot at some point as the insulation is a bit melted so I guess it's from the exhaust area

Re: 3sfe no power on load
Sounds like the relay contacts are burnt. should be easy enough to get a replacement. Well done for tracking down the problem
