Ignition barrel and column HELP!

Post by Samuel Hill »

Hi all I’m new to this group I’ve heard you are all very friendly and helpful and I could do with abit of advice/ guidance!

I’m having trouble with the ignition barrel and the key, I can turn the key one click and then it frees off and does NOTHING I have changed the ignition barrel and still does the same thing... I have a new column I can put in however, I’ve heard or seen something vague mentioning the electrical connections could be something to do with it.

Any sort of help would be much appreciated! :)

Did you change just the lock barrel or the complete switch including the electrical part ? Sounds more like a switch problem rather than a barrel one
Black is not a colour ! .... Its the absence of colour

Thankyou mate, could you just elaborate on that abit? So I think the key has a transponder from JMA will it be something to do with that perhaps?
