Fix front number plate using double sided tape?
Just wondering whether anyone has any experience of fixing the front number plate directly to the bumper using double sided tape?
I need to replace my plates and want to remove the holder/bracket on the front to tidy things up. I also do not want to drill the new plates. Just concerned about the curves in the bumber resulting in a poor outcome if I use tape.
Thanks

My experience on other cars using a regular rigid, laminated plate is that if there is any significant curvature to the bumper, then you really need to screw it on. Otherwise a film number plate might be an option.

Providing you get 3M tape and not a cheap alternative you should be fine.
My front and rear plate are both stuck on and the front is curved but there is enough flat to hold it.

I might have a front number plate holder if that’s any use?
I’d have to have a dig about for you.
