Replacement Panels + Parts Database

Post by millentubby »

Ok guys, i've decided today that i'm going to keep my mk1 forever and restore her to her former beauty...

I understand that this will take a lot of time, and money and that i'm probably crazy for doing it....

First Task for me is to get information on where to get mk1 body panels.

I decided that making a database to live in Know Your 2 would be a great idea (i'm sure something like this was attempted before but didn't take off).

So...please either PM me and post on here and i'll start to compile places that make replacement panels...as you all know Toyota parts are a helluva price...

If you could supply a web address, phone number and/or email addy then I can get on to them to determine what parts they sell/prices/availability and i'll also enquire about members discounts etc.

I'll be posting this on IMOC and MR2OC i'm hoping to get a wide range of knowledge

Cheers in advance...

...
...
...

so far i've got info on;
JDG rear arch components

Eurosport Rear arch and b-post panels

Wolf Steel (USA) rear components and whole 1/4 skin

Auto Jap Spares - Panels and Parts

Paul Woods - Carlton Front

TCB parts - new and used spares and service items

Fensport Parts (selection of new and used)

South Wales Props - Do mk1 drop-links...budget alternative?

Cheapest source of mk1 radiators!

Cheapest place online for Koni Suspension kits for MK1 AND MK2! £315 + VAT!

I've found a great link on the mk1club HERE that i'm going through.

The thing i'm really after now is UK motorfactors that produce mk1 parts (front wings, bumpers and bumper rails etc...) and people that have had good/bad experience with parts from these people.

All info appreciated!

I recently ordered a few bits and pieces from them( more of which I will divulge whence I have finished what i am constructing!! ), 8pm at night, and recieved them following day before 10am, excellent service, very helpful and insightful at answering email enquiries... :th:

I don't know if this is the right place to post, so if not delete/move as you folks see fit.

Rear brake cables for the Mk1, Blueprint parts, local motorfactor.

AUDADT 346156
AUDADT 346155

One's obviously left/right, don't know which until I fit 'em. Cost me £45 the pair, £19.25+vat each.

Bodypanels

Beevers Auto Panels in Barnsley do a courier service for a flat £10 charge.

I've used them for Datsun Cherry rear arches, £9.70+vat each and Ford Escort Mk3/4 full sills, £9.40+vat each.

The Escort sills need cutting & carving to fit properly but not difficult. I found them easier to fit than the arches, which do require some fettling to get the right profiles.

MK1 Radiator

Post by Jules65 »

Not sure if this is in the right place but thought I would let you all know a place where a brand new MK1 MR2 radiator can be purchased for £88.13 inc vat (I thought it was well priced any way).

Picked it up today and it looks the business

Image

The place is 'Autocool Radiators' just off (and I mean just off) Junction 29A of the M1.

The fans fitted okay and it all went in like a dream
