Turns out there was a real easy way of a noob like me telling weather or not it was 1mzfe as it says in huge writting on timing cover picked it up on sunday now let the fun begin. Am after a idiots guide for the wiring as have decided to do it all myself is there alot of difference between wiring for 3vz and 1mz as ive found an idiots guide for 3vz

You will find wiring guides for v6 engines over on two brutal I think..

I've not done a 1mz myself but most of it is the same (or the same principles at least). The only thing that really differs is the immobiliser bit. You need the key, ignition ring, wiring connectors and the 'gold block'. Full list of parts is here...

All to do with the immobiliser transponder thingy. It's right next to the ECU if I remember correctly. Yes - it is pretty obvious. The two connectors you need with it are the one that plugs into this gold block (obviously) and the one that connects to the key transponder ring on the ignition barrel.

Right i think ive got ya so hopefully when i get to it over the next few weeks ill get everything off last thing i want is to get rid of car before ive got everything off is the list mentioned in a previous post everything i need nothing has been missed. Also what modification is it i need to the n/a flyeheel is it just the bolt pattern

Exactly as you say - a bolt pattern mod. If I remember correctly, V6's use an 12mm thread vs the 3S 10mm plus the bolt pattern on the V6's is marginally larger. I have in-house machining at work which makes it easy but I give my machinist the 3S flywheel with one of the spacers either side of the torque converter gear-wheel and get him to 'egg' the hole to match up.

Don't forget to order your mk1 flywheel bolts :th:

Ebay part no. 401009929091 does this look like it will be alright bearing in mind i dont intend on doing any engine mods other than filter and exhaust
