Good question.

Some can't make it, others appear to have car problems, and quite a lot who have expressed interest have remained noticeably silent.

I have been in touch with the organiser at Combe. To date, we have 12 confirmed bookings. To allow for the 'leave it to the last minute' brigade I have managed to secure an allocation of 20.
If/when those are taken up, that's it.

However there is a key update for those who haven't booked yet.

The closing date has been brought forward to 23rd May. Page 1 updated accordingly.

No problem: everyone starts out as a new member. :)
If you want to join us on the club stand then, yes, you'll need the code.
PM on its way. Post up on here when you have paid please.

Momentum is building. :) :th:

15 have confirmed so far that they have booked and paid
A pleasing mix of the usual suspects and new names.
I know of 1 more who should be confirming shortly.
A surprising silence from those who were early doors on the ?? list though...

That will leave 4 slots up for grabs. We may yet get a full house.
If more than that want to be on the stand I'll have to see what I can do.
No guarantees but I'll put on my best Oliver Twist act...

Good to see :th: but still not the likes on numbers for a couple of years back with roughly 50 cars on a combined club stand. Are IMOC there this year do you know?

In terms of overall numbers, there are several reasons why. The two main ones are:

The established national Japfest brand migrated to Silverstone in 2016.
This was partly as a result of the horrendous queues at Combe every year.
These were causing major grief for the local community (as well as attendees).

Japfest also changed its date to April from the traditional May one at Combe.
The combined effect was a noticeable drop in the support for Japday.
JDMCombe has moved to June which might have some effect in the longer term.
However Silverstone's location makes it more convenient for many more people.

The answer to your question is here (also, see the list on page 1 of this thread). :)

Gates open at 09.00 to the public and 07.00 to Clubs/Exhibitors
http://jdmcombe.com/visitor-information/
Suggest you aim to be on the stand by 08.00 (allowing for queuing time).
There is usually a convoy in from a previously agreed location.*
However it open to anyone to do their own thing if they pefer.

* Will post up a suggested RV once I find out which gate we will be using.

If my dads place goes then its no biggy mate. He keeps messing me about with the ticket so if someone else takes his place then not a problem from me.
