actuator assembly sequential gearbox

My April 2004 roadster has 21k miles & suddenly, mid journey, decided to refuse selection of any gears through the SMT
The diagnostics advise that a new actuator assembly is required - which is prohibitively expensive via a traditional main dealership.
Are there any specialists/refurbishers or exchange/replacement options available- or any advise available on how to proceed as the vehicle is otherwise immacculate.
I believe the part number is 33960- OW011
