Can't find new abs sensor - 1996 sw20
Hello
I need a right/driver side rear abs sensor for 1996 sw20 (I think rev4?)
Non of my local motor factors can get me a new right/driver side rear abs sensor. They could give me the part number - 89545-17010.
I've checked online and can't find one anywhere, anyone any ideas?
Messaged j-spec who might have one but for sensors I'd prefer new so no hassle down the line.
Seen some threads on here around altering brackets and rings and using lexus is200 parts but again would be last resort, I'd likely chance a second hand one before doing all that work.
Any feedback appropriated

Your pretty unlikely to find a new sensor, they have been NLA for a few years now and you'll need a lot of luck in finding a good second hand one Many have tried and failed but you may be lucky if you wait long enough. Hence why most go down the lexus sensor route, it's not a particularly hard job and works well https://mr2oc.co.uk/know-your-2/mk2/mk2 ... ensor.html

Cheers greatly appreciated!
Great thread didn't see that one but is definitely detailed step by step.
Are the abs rings the same on a is200 and mr2? As in after replacing do you know if the abs actually still works?
Assume I can do this on just one wheel or need to replace all at once?
Just going to solder mine for now I think but will likely have to deal with this at some point, sorry for all the questions aha

AFAIK
You only need to change the sensor and the ABS works as normal (wouldn't be much point in doing the change if it didn't )
PM Brian (https://mr2oc.co.uk/forum/members/36455.html) and ask him, he wrote the How To after fitting them on his car

Put is200 sensor in, I just filled the stub and replugged it. Is fairly simple cheers.
Have to laugh though when looking to make sure I didn't put the abs light on I don't see an abs light on the dash so I guess previous owner removed the bulb or did something hooky.
Hopefully MOT man doesn't notice
