Greetings from Derby
After 17 years of ownership and membership of Mk1 club and drivers I thought joining here long overdue.
Our 86 mica blue t bar is now on a new set of Goodyears and in regular use. Im sure I will already have met many members, but look forward to watching the space and contributing. Apologies to admin for the earlier ticket
ps I will be checking the downloads for clues about the open door courtesy light not switching off !

Re: Greetings from Derby
Welcome to the club Andy, thanks for your support
Tom Mundy is struggling with the MK1club server at the moment which is why its up & down, I was in touch with him on Saturday and it's looking like he will have to rebuild the server which also runs a load of other sites of his, so may not be a quick fix
I'd be interested in your thoughts on the Goodyears, which ones did you go for in the end ?
What's the problem with your courtesy light ?

Re: Greetings from Derby
I fitted Goodyear efficient grip performance as Longstone said the Pilots would be next year now. On standard r14 wheels. Love them. Have done 2 150 mile "spirited drives round Peak district and north notts and they are quiet but feel really grippy and absorb poor road surfaces really well. Make me want to do hill climb again!!
From costco 69 per corner fitted.
Courtesy light wont go out! I isolate the battery when not using so not a major issue. Its just the small light on the inside of the instrument panel to right. I cant see how it picks up door closed. Never explored before but there doesnt seem to be a plunger/switch on the doors?

There's a switch for each door at bottom of the B pillar on the outside. Open the door and look down to the bottom left corner of the door frame.
