MR2 Owners Club

Hi all,

Those of you that are attending on the Sunday, we need some volunteers to help with the smooth running of the stand.

We need at least 2 people (3 or 4 would be nice to even out the burden) to organise the MR2 Village stand on the Sunday only.

You will be responsible for organising the stand into sections (IMOC, MK1 Club, MR2 Only Magazine, Two Brutal and US) including the parking, and for being a point of contact for dishing out stand passes to people arriving late.

3 or 4 people doing it would mean only one person need stay on the stand at a time so you still get to enjoy the day watching the runs up the strip and seeing all the sights of the pod.

You will also have to make sure Mobile numbers are visible in cars because we are going to be 3 or 4 deep probably due to the numbers so we will need to contact members if certain people need to leave.

The more we have - the easier it gets!

Only for the Sunday Mark - if you could help out for just an hour would be much appreciated

We'll have a little get together in the morning to make sure someone is always on the stand until 2 ish when everyone has turned up - then each of us can go off and enjoy the cars up the strip etc.

Thanks everyone for volunteering - much appreciated. Will hopefully make the day more enjoyable for the members. The biggest problem last year was getting cars out of the stand in the afternoon being 3 deep.

Just a thought!

Why not set up a Gazebo and mark it " MR2 ARRIVALS " or something like that.

Easier to keep it manned ( personed sounds wrong, and I ain't PC )

Just stick it in a prominent position.

If you could come and find me on the Sat/Sun for mobile numbers that would be brilliant so that everyone can put in an hours stint permanently on the stand for a point of contact for everyone. Hey - you could even show off your cars to others whilst doing it as i know i will be

unfortunately i will be working between mr2only/photographing/interviwinf etc for the jap show finale feature in mr2only magazine so i cant stick around all day but i will pleased to help in any way i can.

I seem to remember last year, the Skylines or Scoobys, can't remember which had taken over quite a bit our pitch, must of parked up on the saturday, or very early sunday morning. And a lot of the owners had wandered off!

as i did this job on my own last year as well as fighting off the skylines .. im gonna duck out
