MR2 Owners Club

A friend of mine is hosting a barbie at Emsworth, just East of Portsmouth on Easter Saturday. Food is free but bring your own drinks if you want more than squash.

I will be there along with a few celica owners and car enthusiasts - also the soon to be new owner of my MR2.

The venue is the RARshop, round the back of the mini tesco in Emsworth centre.

This place is being run as a hobby by a couple of enthusiasts but is currently nowhere near breaking even and will close soon unless word spreads quickly. It is one hell of a facility and stands to benefit many enthusiasts if it can be made to work.

Just giving this a bump as it's next Saturday. Should be fun for any enthusiasts in the area.

If the weather is good me and a friend or two might swing by on our motorbikes. What time is this?

It's an all day thing.

I'll probably get there mid morning and will be there until evening I expect.

A little update.

A group of us, including one of the original guys (Barry), are clubbing together to rescue the place and give it a fair chance to succeed. It would otherwise have closed at the end of June.

This means it should be running for at least another 6 months, and much longer as long as it's not a complete disaster.

it also means I'll be 'on duty' from time to time if anyone wants to make use of my skills (by prior arrangement as it'll mostly be Barry staffing it)
