Hi I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know about my recent purchase of an 'As new' red Mk1 with just 1600 miles on the clock.
I run Premier Vehicle Storage in Clevedon North somerset and the car has been stored with me since 2006.
The elderly owner recently decided to sell it and he had promised me first refusal.
The car was ONLY driven out on the road once a year usually about 8-15 miles for it's annual MOT.
Apart from our usual start-ups and run to temperature out into our large car park the car rarely saw light of day. It has never been out in the wet. It is easy to say the car is in 'as new' condition without a mark or a stone chip on it, but believe me this is true.
My dilemma is what to do with it now. I already own several classic cars and I was reducing my fleet but I could not refuse the offer to buy this car. I owned a red Mk1 many years ago and loved it!
Difficult decision to make!
