There is a new show for Japanese cars & bikes coming to the Langford Museum of Power in Essex.

Location: http://www.museumofpower.org.uk/Events.html#JAP

Organisers: http://www.essexclassicjap.co.uk/automa ... 12th-2016/

Trade stands, food, etc. Camping is possible on the Saturday night but the show is on the Sunday.

Entry is free for show cars on our stand. As it's the first year space is limited for cars. We have now been advised that 25 places have been allotted to our club stand to be part of the show. Additionally, anyone is welcome to attend as a visitor.

We have now booked a club stand but are advised that numbers are restricted.

I have started a list of those interested in being on the stand. The show, I understand, is 10am to 5pm.

Some of you may have already seen it on Facebook and responded.

This list is for a club stand. Please advise if you want to be added/removed.

Update Edit: Ok. I have received some more info from the organisers.

As this is the first year, show cars are limited to 200. If it's a success, which we all hope it is, future years could see expansion.

They've asked if we can restrict our stand to 25 approximately which we have pretty much filled already. No charges for show cars on the stand.

Obviously if you are on the stand as a show car you will need to commit to keeping your car at the event until at least 5pm. Gates open to the public at 10.00am but we'll need to be in place before then.

Obviously anyone is welcome to come along on the day as a visitor and pay on the gate for entry (only £6 adults, and £2 for kids).

Anybody who wants to go on a reserve list, if spaces filled, for the stand then please let me know.

More details will be posted as they become available.

Thank you to everyone who's shown interest so quickly.

Man like John is coming all the way from Wales? Blimey!

Will be a busy month that, would like to do Bromley Pageant again the week before, and Japfest 2 is a couple weeks after.

He likes to drive! Interest is far and wide at the moment. I've sent the organiser a message. No idea yet on the scale of this thing.

It's about a 15 minute drive from me :laughing

I've never actually been to that venue though. Looking at their gallery, it looks like they use the grass areas around the buildings for the displays.

Confirming conversation with Stu, I'm up for it. Gazza is right; the MoP has a large grassed area out back where they host events. Been there many times with the bike club and can confirm that these events tend to be lively and well attended.

Not enough parking down my road!

I know of an excellent place for breakfast which is kind of on the way though, in Tiptree. It's about 7 miles from the show.

If we can get an idea of numbers for breakfast, I'll make the arrangements (if numbers require it) for breakfast.

It has just occurred to me that I've never been here without being severely hungover :laughing

All depends on timings and demand for camping & BBQ on the Saturday night.

That as well. Option is there for non-campers. Given the proximity, I'll probably stay comfy for this one :th:

Or go to a BBQ on the Saturday night after setting up, go home for a sleep (not a fan of camping), and have breakfast on the way back in the morning. That's my thinking at the moment :-D

A good drive down :D (I'm hoping to be living somewhere that isn't Wales by then too so it shouldn't be too bad!).

Breakfast - sounds great
camping - less fussed about that :P
