Recommendation for getting handbrake cables replaced in Surrey
Can anyone recommend a good place to get the handbrake cables replaced on my PFL MR2 Mk3? Driver's side is definitely seized so that side of the handbrake was not working at all. I'd rather go to someone who has experience of replacing these cables, as it seems (from watching YouTube videos) to be a rather complicated task.

To be honest its not as hard as it looks , I did the near side recently and you dont need to drop the tank completely , I left the filler pipe connected , supported the tank on a scissor jack and lowered it for access . I think the offside would be easier. cable was about £50 from euros and took me about 2 hours all in. with a ramp would be so much easier.

I would agree with MRHAPPY62 i.e. it's do-able without too much drama, although it took me a bit longer.
Mine was the offside, which I did back in September. Again as above, I supported the tank with a scissor jack and lowered that side to access the cable route. It means removing the storage lockers behind the seats to access and disconnect the fuel line fittings at the tank top before lowering.
To remove the centre console over the handbrake and adjusters, the rear screws of the console are accessable by moving the seats forward. The front screws I used a cross head bit with a suitable ratchet spanner which just fits in place between the seats and the console (save removing the seats)
My replacement cable was from 'carpartsinmotion' on ebay, part number ADT346300 by Blue print. Price was £34.78 and was an exact replica of the original

I've just done mine and it's pretty easy, as long as you don't mind crawling around under the car.
I got mine up on some ramps, stripped out the seats and trim, dropped the tank, empty it before you start! I removed it completely as it makes your life easier and it's really not much more work.
New cables in, new calipers, new discs and pads.... one thing lead to another, new coil overs, new Whiteline ARBs.... sailed through the MOT lol!
For me, the main thing was to just get on with it, putting it off and almost talking myself out of it wasted time...
