I'm looking into restoring a Mk1 but want to personalise it without taking a good mr2 but don't want a rust bucket
Where would be a good place to start

I want to find one that needs work doing to it but not to buy one that's already been restored as it's like taking a brand new car and giving it a full restoration

I found a mk2 with a auto gear box how easy would it be to change to manual I'm also going to uprate some of the engine while rebuilding it as this will be my next project after I've done my lgv2
