Using a self-tapper instead of the proper screw says it all really

I had only watched about 30 secs of first vid, so did not see that.

The rest of it seems fair enough, but it is only about fitting eccentric guides to the T-bars, no other leak cures mentioned.

Yes, the few mistakes he has made does not inspire confidence.

I'm obviously one of the lucky ones regarding leaking T-Bars.

My car is 23 years old and only leaked from the front drivers window corner and passenger rear pillar side.

Occasionally rubbing peanut oil into the rubbers all round more or less solved the problem as peanut oil swelss the rubbers without damaging them.

I then fitted eccentric guides and get no leaks whatsoever unless I hit the aforementioned areas directly about 2 inches away from these spots, even then its a few slight drips at best.

Had thunderstorms today and noticed a small drop on the passenger bolster. When I drove off the seat got a fair bit wetter as if water had collected in with the mechanism. Any advice on the most likely culprit? Didn't seem to get any leaks driving through rain when I got the car and parked in moderate rain seemed ok so it can't be terrible but would like to solve it.

I get the odd occasional leak from my T-bar.
I found the simple answer is to remove the glass panels and then just put a thin layer of Vaseline on all the rubbers. When do replace the glass it forms a watertight seal which last for months and months.

That works for some, however very messy, it gets everywhere, especially if you have your Tbars off and on a lot (mine are more off than on)
I prefer to use a rubber reviver on all the seals, usually once a year, either a silicon oil sprayed onto rag then applied to the seals or https://www.micksgarage.com/d/dash-rubb ... 3lEALw_wcB leave the t bars off for a while after applying and you'll see the rubbers swelling up back to shape, same for door/ boot seals

Vaseline does your rubbers no good, it will rot them eventually. as jimmy said rubber reviver or silicon spray
