99% Standard - had a Japanese motorway toll card thing in it, and they had to fit a rear foglight, but other than that unmolested :th:

If that is a JDM, that should be a Rev4 :th: (No toblerones, clear front lenses and wing mounted indicators)

Lovely looking car though :th: Agree with above, get her undersealed ASAP

Done by the dealer. Got to see it up on a ramp yesterday (getting tracking done) and it looks brand new underneath, save for one small patch of rust and hole on the catalytic converter heat shield.

It may be a Rev 4 - I find it very hard to find info on exactly what the model differences are. Looking it up though, yes the clear front indicators would suggest it's a rev 4. It was first registered in 1997 in Japan, and it has passenger airbags.

Yep, it was. Here is the dealer page:

You snooze you lose I'm afraid!

Here she is polished and cleaned up. Radio has been replaced (only station I could get on JDM stereo was Radio 2 - blergh!) and tracking has been done.

One way is to check the VIN number (on V5C and the plate in the frunk).
https://www.mr2oc.co.uk/know-your-2.htm ... kbartid=95
https://www.mr2oc.co.uk/know-your-2.htm ... kbartid=98

Also look to see if there is a date on the seat belt tags.
P prefix runs from 1 August 1996 – 31 July 1997.

However the passenger airbag is definitive. Rev 3s don't have one.

If it's a fresh import why does it have a UK letterbox style plate and matching holder? :confused1:
Should be square: same as the rear.
If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

VIN confirms its a Rev 4

Yeah, looking at the feature list on the knowledge base here it matches with a rev 4 everywhere.

That's a good question - hadn't thought about that! Rear is square.

It might be that the importer just typed 'MR2 number plate holder' into google, and got the first one that came up.

Looking at the google results, the only site that comes up on the first page is MR2-Ben and they're out of stock of the JDM style ones.

JDM Style : https://mr2-ben.co.uk/products/105

UK Style : https://mr2-ben.co.uk/products/136

Car came with loads of Japanese history and original owner's manual in Japanese, which was a nice touch!

Looks nice - love the seats, and would love cruise control. Gotta be white though :cool1:
