Re: Help needed please free dinner tea coffee

I’m guessing it’s so they can learn and have a cool car, not everyone is born with the skills. 7 years ago I started with a 20.99 eBay tool kit and set to learning. I’m all up for people asking for help I was lucky Jay made an epic trip to come and help me remove my first engine. Feel free to take s...

Re: She’ll be ready in time for japfest, I hope?!

I’ve still never been in a mk1.5, that’s moved under its own power so I’m getting more and more excited everytime I work on it as it’s getting closer.

It’s going to be fun to get back into the mr2 fold again starting at japfest then hopefully I can start meeting up with everyone again.

Re: Time to get back on this project

So over the last few weekends I’ve been hitting the works...

Re: Can I turbo my na Mr2 it's an sw20

Go answer the question yes you can bolt on a turbo kit to the n/a how long it would last and the overall boost in power might not be as much as you hope then you have the cost, it’ll be the standalone and nappy which will rack up the cost. As for the swap it’s about as easy as you can get for an eng...

Re: Time to get back on this project

Starting to see the finishing post of this time build now hopefully by December I can start moving the car around the yard and getting it up to temp, but today’s work comprised of finally fitting the gt4 4 pot front brakes and finalising the intake system. The brakes needed a little fettling once ag...

Time to get refocused on this project

So it’s amazing how time flys, it’s been along time since I’ve started this project and if I’m honest I’ve nearly sold it/thought about breaking it many times. Now life has settled a bit and time and money look like they are going to arrive at the same time. So it’s time to get this project going ag...

Re: Finding a oil leak

I used a uv dye and a black light, to find the the location of an oil leak, it was much better and easier than I expected Neat! So something like this from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Torch-Detection-Fluid-Petrol-Diesel/dp/B00TU9BHN6/ref=sr_1_2?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1503426304&sr=1-2&keywor...

Re: Purple thunder: One mount made, one to go!!

I was very happy with crumple zones the damage doesnt look to bad but once the bumper was off the whole backend was pushed back 20-30cm. That was including the chasiss rail.
