I'm presuming that MR2OC forums are members only (?)
There are areas that are members only, but technical sections, like this one, are public. World plus dog can read this shining, eloquent discourse

Sorry, mine is a rev 4 NA. Should have mentioned this
If the donor is also an NA (assuming UKDM or JDM 3s-ge rather than poverty spes 3s-fe or the US 5s-fe) then it should fit just. It's the 3s-gte turbos that have AFMs for rev1 and rev2 before losing it from rev3 onwards.

Re: Front bumpers

Are all MR2 mk2 front bumpers the same ? rgb is correct, the 3s-fe engined cars (which are mostly rev1s but a few are rev2s) don't have front fog lights, making the actual bumper different. Otherwise, the rev1 has a smaller lip than rev2 onwards. That bigger lip was black on a rev2 but body coloure...

Re: UK REV 2, REV3 tubby conversion?

Urgh, I hate garages sometimes. When I had some accident repair done the garage told me the car was in the body shop and due to collect in two days time... when I visited, they literally hadn't touched it. I dragged the manager out of a meeting to get an explanation. Apparently other jobs arrived af...

Re: UK REV 2, REV3 tubby conversion?

My experience with garages doing large jobs is that the moment your work slips out of the allotted slot, you end up at the back of the queue and everything drags and drags. Been there more than once. One of many reasons I do as much as possible myself. I understand why that doesn't work for many peo...

Re: In the IMOC doghouse...

I'm still seeking an explanation for why some people (such as I) are affected but others (you and Gazza) aren't. Like Pooh, I'm a Bear of Very Little Brain, so I'm a bit lost when it comes to the inner workings of the interweb. To be honest, it's not entirely clear to any of us on the outsi...

Re: In the IMOC doghouse...

I called them out on running software from 2005 a couple of weeks ago. Apparently they manually patch up their software due to significant customisations; over a decade's experience in the software industry tells me that's a pretty bad way to manage software but, like Jeff, that's not really my conc...
