Info:- What's the Black Thing on the Engine Lid?

This is the engine bay temperature sensor.

When the temperature raises to 144F or above, this sensor activates the cooling fan located on the drivers side of the engine bay

Disconnecting this sensor causes the fan to run all the time.. an ideal way of testing the fan works or simply increasing the airflow through the intercooler on turbo charged models.
