Reluctantly selling my late father’s pride and joy
Hi there
Hoping for some help with trying to sell my late father’s beloved pride and joy.
It’s a gorgeous MR2 mk2 GT Turbo T-bar in red. A 1994 Japanese import to the UK in 2002 and purchased by my Dad in 2006. He spent a lot of time and money fully restoring this car himself but definitely enjoyed driving it. God it was fun to drive! However, since Dad passed away, it sadly hasn’t been driven for over 7 years and is gathering dust in our garage. Some people say to start it, others say don’t! So now I’m confused…
Our situation has changed and we’re moving to NZ.
Very torn but we think we will sell the car given the cost to ship it in a container. However, have had a few p&3s takers trying it on with my mum.
So thought I would try this forum to see if other owners have a view on what price to ask?
Also to potentially see if there’s any interest from other MR2 enthusiasts. 47k on the clock.
Please help as time is running short and I’m tearing my hair about what to do. We’re based in Leics.
Thanks!

Hi
Probably a good idea to put some pictures up (exterior, interior underneath etc) and provide some info about condition, service history etc.
Good luck with the sale!

Not Plan B again!! Why don't we just go with plan B in the first place?
