:)

Regular attendees know that V-Power is unobtainable north and west of the A9.
Shell sold all their branded fuel stations in the Highlands years ago.
The only ones on/near our itinerary are in Helensburgh and Inverness.

Shell V-Power is 99RON: Texaco Excellium is only 97RON.
You won't find the latter in the Highlands either.

 Gleaner Super Unleaded is 98RON. Also available at Kyle of Lochalsh (Days 1 & 2).

Gulf Super Unleaded is also 97RON. Available at Broadford on Skye.

Btw, I have just found out why fuel at Ullapool in September last year was cheaper than back home.
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/rura ... reen-light
The same subsidy has operated on Skye since 2012 hence why the pumps at Broadford are always busy!

I didn't use any octane booster in September and had no issues at all in T2 using Gleaner 98RON fuel.
Mind you it was a different kind of tour: I wasn't spending all day on boost at WOT... ;)
If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!

Looking forward to it! :D

Slightly random note however I'm sure I've been told before or read somewhere that it would be useful to have a radio? Anyone got any recommendations as to an inexpensive one that can easily be picked up? :confused1:
