Rear Subframe needed

Post by cobraflex »

Hi all

This is my first post here, so I'm hoping im not repeating a topic.

I have a deteriorated rear subframe on my Rev 1 MR2 mk2, part no: 51206-17010

My garage have had no luck in finding a replacement, but suggested that this club may be the place to ask, as some might have been bought up after they were discontinued.

Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase one?

many thanks
Tim

If you are near Folkestone, Kent you may come and remove the rev 3+ one from my breaker. Although I do not know about compatibility with a rev 1. Andy

AFAIK the only difference is the rear toe arms.

Rev2+ are longer* which means revised mounting points on the subframe** (part number 51206-17020).

As part of the suspension upgrade package Toyota also fitted a different rate ARB and matching bushes.

Yep, you can use a Rev1 ARB on a Rev2+ subframe if needed though.

thanks for all the replies! And apologies for posting in the wrong place

I did see that £200 one, but luckily there was also one for £40 which I snapped up quickly. Seems like these things are rare as hens teeth since Toyota stopped making them
