Mk3 lowering help
Hello all, i have a MK3 Roadie on 16"wheels with the TRD splitters all round and really want the car to sit low. All i can find are 30mm lowering srings?
I want the car lower but cant find any that go lower? Is there a reason for this and what coilover kits are available for the Roadster?

Re: Mk3 lowering help
K-sport and Tein do coilover kits. I quite fancy a Tein super street setup for mine at some point. The reason you can't go lower on just springs is that the springs have to match the dampers. The TTE lowering springs are matched to the standard dampers, going lower on standard dampers is not advised.Rachy wrote:Hello all, i have a MK3 Roadie on 16"wheels with the TRD splitters all round and really want the car to sit low. Are you sure you want to go lower than 30mm while having the lip kit on?
Mine is seriously low without a lipkit and I have major problems with bumps, dips, driveway angles etc...

Do you know I have never checked. Currently in Ireland and the car is locked away at HQ. Will check when I fly back home at the weekend and report back...mark_a_thorpe wrote:Offtopic....Tony, are you sure those aren't facelift wheels? The rears look larger....

Mk3 lowering help
Tien Springs... 30mm drop (they say.. but it ends up more when they settle)

Before

After
This is with 17" wheels (both sets of wheels are the same spec)... but you can see how much lower it is.

Confimed. Face lift wheels fitted, 15" on the front and 16" on the rear of mine.vanilla.coffee wrote:Do you know I have never checked. Currently in Ireland and the car is locked away at HQ.
