Exhaust Sensor
Hi guys!
So ive decided to fit a de-cat pipe on my 93' import 3s-ge when i noticed a sensor connected to the cat. my de-cat pipe does not have fitment for this, can the wire just be earthed so no lights come up on the dash?

Re: Exhaust Sensor
It's a cat temperature sensor. Most people just cut it off or cable tie it somewhere.

Re: Exhaust Sensor
Yeah just leave it disconnected. All it does is illuminate a dash light when the cat gets hot and doesn't affect the running of the car.

Re: Exhaust Sensor
My '94 import turbo hasn't had that sensor fitted for years and I've never seen a problem from it being missing
However, you NEED a cat to pass MOT on a '93 3s-ge regardless of whether it's an import or not. Be prepared to swap the cat back on when it comes to test time.
