Is this silencer stock?

Post by mitoand9 »

Hi everyone,

I have recently replaced my stock silencer with a mongoose one on my 1996 MR2 SW20 NA (3SGE).

I am planning on selling the stock exhaust, but I ran into doubts on its origin..

Is it really stock? On the big green book and on a colleague's older MR2 it looks different. Their tailpipes are tapered outwards, while mine are straight. I'll post a picture of mine and one that I believe being stock.

Could anyone clarify please? Thanks in advance

This is mine (straight tailpipes)
