Headlight Issue
My '85 AW11's headlights do turn on, but the left side headlight doesn't retract or popup, maybe a motor issue? I can manually raise it but it would finally be nice to fix. I'm also thinking there's possibly a delay, maybe new fuses would fix that, but I feel that the right takes a little longer than it should to retract, not sure if that's normal or something evidently due to age. Just wanted to reach out and see what people thought. Thanks

Re: Headlight Issue
It's a US car, looks like the fuses are still good and I was just told the motor was switched so it might be something with the wiring. Just wonder how I would go about fixing that

Re: Headlight Issue
There's 2 fuses but both are common to each side.
The raise/retract for both sides is controlled by the RTR relay (which is in the front boot) so it could be the relay as it sends individual signals to each side. To track down the problem the easiest way would be with voltmeter and the wiring diagrams. This 1988 manual should cover a US car https://jlawson.co.uk/index.php/downloa ... /17-88aw11. You may be better asking on the US Owners Club as there are differences between UK & US MK1's https://www.mr2oc.com/forums/mki-84-89-na-sc.2/
A few seconds delay on the lights retracting is normal can be up to 3.5 seconds IIRC
