It's a tad overdue for an update. It appears to be still showing the results for 2011/12...Howlin_Mad wrote:Here's hoping I get added to the Premier League table *cough* Dan!

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
This isn't representative yet - I lost my front undertrays and have yet to re-fit them.
207 miles covered (Chester -> A51 -> M6/M1 -> Rotherhithe and a run to B&Q & back)
26.05 litres to refill
36.08 mpg.

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
This is a pre-update, just thought I'd mention that, still having horrendous MPG in my rev3 na.
I read a few threads and some people have had great MPG success changing the engine coolant temperature sensor. I happened to pick one by when ordering from camskill (it was cheap) and fitted it tonight. I'll give it a few days, reset the ECU and then do a proper MPG run. Hoping for an improvement from the low 20s I was getting!

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
So averaging about 220miles on a full tank in my rev5 na. Blueflame decat and induction being only mods. I only commute 5miles each way but that still seems ridiculously low

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
A full tank is 55litres, are you using the full 55litres and running out of petrol each time?
Top line to bottom line is 40litres; 15litres less than the car holds.
Calculate the MPG as per the instructions and you'll find that you are getting around 27mpg which is around normal for urban driving.

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
I'm a new owner (mk2 rev3 175bhp NA), and calculating two separate 3 hour drives I achieved 39mpg driving at 70-80mph with casual acceleration. I was absolutely delighted!
I think 45mpg is achievable if you wanna join the motorway 50mph club.

The 30+ mpg runs were from a trip to wales, the others is my usual short journeys. 1999 rev5 na with blueflame decat exhaust and generic cone filter

Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
so that's 1267 miles and 43.5 gallons = 29.11mpg overall.
With the 5 mile only each way "normal" runs thats not a bad MPG
Your 38's show it is running well
Highland Drive 13/14/15/17/18/19
JAE 07/09/10/11/12/13/14/15/16/17
Japfest 09/11/12/13/16/19
Wales runs 14/15/16/17/18
Re: The MK2 MPG / Fuel Consumption Thread
Considering I have a sticky caliper and only drive it slow on uneven roads (blood coilovers) or when it's cold it isn't bad
