Started it up, MAF sensor played up, fixed it, drove it. Did the walk away and look back, and thought (in my best american accent) 'daaammmmmnnnn!' Haha

Had to test a new ptz CCTV camera out today at work and zoomed in on the MR2 in front of the installation engineer and the accountant just rolled his eyes and tutted

Yep. Packs more punch and won't 'tire' so quickly. Especially important in cold weather when you need all the cranking power you can get. Also if you have a lot of aftermarket electrical gubbins (fancy sound system, carputer, etc.) being used while the engine is off it won't tire so easily. Ditto where you have a small but constant drain 24/7 ( e.g. an aftermarket alarm on a tubby).parker455 wrote:Decent I'm with it now, nice one. Start better with the more powerful battery?
All of the above assumes your alternator is charging correctly. There's a reason why a tubby has a higher rated one.
There have been a number of people who have reported similar issues after switching to coilovers. I find this very odd and will be interested to know what you discover. I have had a set of BCs (along with shinny) from way back. They have been on 3 different cars now with no problems whatsoever. I now have a set on T2 as well.Howlin_Mad wrote:Realised something is quite wrong with my HSD coilovers

My BC's collapsed after 22,000 miles of daily driving, but they never made a noise like this. Will report back on a separate thread today.

Re: What've you done to your MR2 today?
Finished fitting the Rev3 light conversion to our Rev2 Tubby the other day and the boot is having issues closing properly.
Anyway I noticed today that the wobbly spoiler had practically fallen off! I've now removed it for further investigation but it looks like some serious bodging had gone on at some point. May have to look out for a replacement black spoiler.
