No problem with being stickered up!
Gates for exhibitors (us) open at 7.30am. We need to be all set up by 9.30am.

Haha I hope so, need to finish the design first!
Not doing anything mental just bonnet stripe, door decals and bumper stickers etc.
Cheers for the times Stu, is there a time and place you've got to convoy in from? Will likely join up before hand...

Hmmm. Marks Tey is quite a long way beyond Maldon for those of us coming from south of the river.Gazza_DJ wrote:If the weather is lovely that morning, I know a few backroad routes from Marks Tey to Maldon if you fancy doing a mini run beforehand for the local lot. Nothing silly, just a nice route that avoids the main roads.
If you can make a dawn Kent Run, this should be a breeze.Woody928 wrote:I'd be up for a run beforehand however depends on what time we will be meeting. I'll be getting up early enough as it is to head over to Essex and need my sleep! lol
Although given your list of excuses this year I'm beginning to wonder...
Too late to avoid the toll charge though. Meet at the usual place?
You inner chav has won out!Woody928 wrote:Not doing anything mental just bonnet stripe, door decals and bumper stickers etc.
See above. I'm thinking of this for a back roads route to the MoP - https://goo.gl/maps/dGHFAGxJfhS2Woody928 wrote:Cheers for the times Stu, is there a time and place you've got to convoy in from? Will likely join up before hand...

Time wise probably best to factor in breakfast at the venue say for 8.00am or 8.30am.
Work backwards from there to the meet point for those coming via South Essex for a start time.
North Essex peeps can meet at Marks Tey.

It was only intended to be a nicer route to Maldon. Any meeting point with people arriving from the south would need to be near enough in Maldon anyway.TonyleFrog wrote:Hmmm. We ideally need to arrive in as few groups as possible to help the Marshals. I'm sure 2 groups would be fine.

A single pre-meet point of Tesco Maldon shouldn't be a problem for anyone.

Meet there at 7.30am, leave at 7.45am. Venue is only 5 mins up the road from there, but we don't know how busy it will be with clubs arriving, and we don't know how efficient the venue are at stewarding. Should be plenty of time for breakfast etc.

My route gets to the MoP from the opposite direction.Gazza_DJ wrote:A single pre-meet point of Tesco Maldon shouldn't be a problem for anyone.

You're determined to make me drive further than I need to...
Of which those who attended Japfest 2012 will probably have painful memories. The marshalling was such a shambles that I gave serious consideration to not going in future.Gazza_DJ wrote:Meet there at 7.30am, leave at 7.45am. They are clearly used to having car and bike events - http://www.museumofpower.org.uk/Events.html#NYD
but I'm puzzled where they park them all. Looking at the site on Google Earth there doesn't seem to be sufficient free space for the 200 exhibitors Stu mentioned earlier. If it is at a premium then stewards need to be up to speed. If not, it could go south pretty fast.

Haha I have no doubt I can make it, I just prefer staying in bed longer if possible. Well they seem to be getting more elaborate as the year wears onTonyleFrog wrote: If you can make a dawn Kent Run, this should be a breeze.

Wasn't aware you could avoid the toll, just assumed it was a necessary evil...
Are you referring to the lay-by near the shell for Kent runs just before the dart crossing?
I like to think of it more as my inner child than chav, I've kinda gone for a generic Le Mans, Toyota hybrid racing kinda look but not going to be sure till its all done. Still waiting on some more vital stickers to arriveTonyleFrog wrote: You inner chav has won out!
7.30 at Tesco Maldon sounds good to me. That way we can all go in as one group, hopefully making it easier for Marshals etc and more importantly leaves good time for breakfast

There's plenty of room Tony - the location marker on Google Maps is only a small part of it. I believe they use the grass areas around the access roads to the west of the Blackwater. I don't know if they also own the large grass field that borders the Chelmer as well.TonyleFrog wrote:
