Hi all,
With extensive amphibian assistance (thanks TLF!) I’ve found the part I need. The question now is “should I install it”? Reason for asking is that at least part of it is self adhesive by the look of things, and I suspect it'll have to come off again when the car gets a (badly needed) respray.
Not keen to spend £££ on a bit of rubber then chuck it away soon after..
Anyone know definitely either way?

It will all depend on if you can get the adhesive part to come off without damaging the seal.
I've removed similar seals from cars with the help from a hair drier to warm the adhesive, then cleaned all the old adhesive off of it and used a decent quality double sided tape to reapply it. It's quite a big robust seal and being new will help

Sorry to hear that. 
Norovirus (aka Norwalk) is highly infectious but doesn't normally last long (1-3 days). Drink plenty of fluids (rehydration solutions). Virus shedding can continue after symptoms subside so don't be in a hurry to return to the workplace or send the kids back to school/pre-school/playgroup.

Yeah we’ve all stayed well away from everyone. Still feeling lethargic now. ‘Orrible bug!
I’ve bodged it, stuffed some “shop towel” being the seal to see if that’ll push it up against the glass properly. Did same same with my 350z. Worked a treat for over a year till I sold it.
