Hi Guys
Ive been having abit of a water leak which it looks like its from the water pump,
Ive also noticed that ive got white mix in my filler cap ( but nothing in the oil or on dip stick )
which im sure that means head gasket?
so looks like a big job of doing water pump and head gasket and which means new timing belt?
To do all this would this be easier to drop engine to do it all ?
any suggestions would be nice
thx

White mix (looks like mayonnaise) under the oil filler cap is normally caused by condensation. If there is nothing in the oil or on the dip stick its probably caused by short runs or the engine not getting hot enough.

Without seeing pictures its impossible to say where leak is coming from. If it is the water pump it can be replaced without taking the engine out. Yes you would have to remove the timing belt at the same time, so may as well replace that as well.

If you do decide to take the water pump off, the right hand engine mounting bracket is very awkward, I still havent got mine in yet, also, use an impact gun on the top right hand philips screw on the water pump, or the head will be chewed up.
