I have no problem if you prefer not to join us at Clacket. If so, just let me know beforehand please. :)
You'll probably need to leave earlier to be at Tesco by 08.00 though (see below)
Gazza_DJ wrote: 02/05/18 16:43 It's only a few miles out. The fastest route (not the most direct) is usually to take the M1 and and across on the A43 because those roads are faster than coming off early and going cross country. If you take the fastest route Google suggests, you'll drive right past that Tesco. The difference between the fastest (which goes past the Tesco) and most direct is matter of less than 10 miles. If you take the A5 instead it's only a few miles further up the A5 to that roundabout anyway./quote]
It may be faster for you young Skywalker, but you're forgetting where the Kent crew RV point is. ;)
Also, I'll take the M40 over the M1 all day every day. We'll simply be using the A43 from the other end.
Should we decide to go via Stowe it adds 1 mile and 4 minutes to the journey (per Google).
That way we avoid the conjunction of two traffic streams at the A43 Silverstone exit.
Lastly I'm not planning to drive at warp factor 9 just to ensure we reach Tesco by the appointed hour.

Dan lives about 2 miles from me, if he wants to go south first and then the wrong way around the M25 he's welcome to!

I'm well aware Dan lives north of the muddy ol' Thames. :)

All the same, it's ~7-8 miles up the road - nothing in the context of the whole journey. My point is that if anyone coming from that way wants to go to the premeet it's not that far out of the way.

Reminder to everyone - please stay near your cars to start off with - some shuffling around may be required to ensure that those who have track time etc booked are able to exit, and we still don't know the layout of our plot so we can't really plan it ahead of time.

As we are T8, I would assume we will be entering via Copse Tunnel again and our plot will be somewhere in that north east corner of the circuit.

T8 for us.

Hopefully it's quite a big space if there's going to be 8 other clubs on there!

Guys I think I'm going to be a no show tomorrow. I injured my back at work on Thursday and I'm barely able to walk, I was hoping I'd have recovered enough to make it but that's not happened.

Would somebody be able to cover for me at the Tesco pre meet??

Sorry to hear of your misfortune mate. That sucks.
Get well soon and hope you'll be back on track for the KR.

If you can, lie on some ice on the affected area. (frozen peas, ice cubes in a teatowel, etc)
Ice removes the inflammation and numbs it so the pain subsides. Get well soon.
