Jimi's JAE 2009 Road Trip

What a weekend !! great weather, great time, good laughs and even better people ! all in all a totally brilliant weekend. :D
It was good to catch up with all the folk I've met at previous JAE's and to put faces to a lot of names :th: great to meet you all.
My car went like a dream, down and up. Used no oil, no water, just fuel and not a lot of that either :D
Left on Thursday morning 1 hour behind Mark and got to JAE 1 hour before him ( MK1 power rulez ;) ) Took me 6.5hrs to get down (one stop) and 7hrs to get home (2 stops)
total miles = 841
Fuel = 99 litres
MPG = 38.6 :yahoo:

Thanks to the Planning Committee / Setup Crew for a excellent job and everyone else who made the effort to come, you are what made it great. :notworthy:

It says a lot about this club that a lot of the folk I met at 2006 and 2007 were there again this year. Hopefully I'll manage next year and they ( and all the people I met this year) will be there again :D
A real bonus for me was the way my car performed, it's 21 years 8 months since it was built, as far as I know the engine is completely original and has never been touched, yet it still managed 392 miles in 6hrs without even breaking a sweat :cool1:
I take my hat off to the quality and reliability of Mr T's engineering :notworthy:

Cheers :th: chuffed is an understatement, I worked it out 3 times because I didn't believe it :blink: But it's correct :D
