Don't know how many db's a Mongoose is sorry, but I have a custom stanless steel single exit exhaust on mine & it's 118 db's! :D

Paff's is even louder!! :th: You can get removeable baffles though if it's too loud & you want to take it on th track.

Mongoose is not much louder than standard (if louder at all)

I don't think you can track a janspeed.

In response to this all I fitted the exaust and it does not seem any louder then the standard rusty piece! And the car feels really responsive now! Very pleased!

We had a stainless Janspeed on our track car, and got about 98, when it started to break we got about 102 out of it!

Just swapped it for a mongoose, which is a lot quieter. tracking it tomorrow so will let you know the result of the noise test!

Anyone know if there is much difference between a Mongoose and a Magnex? I've seen a fair few people around who said they have a mongoose system. Just curious, a stainless system is another thing on my to do list when I got the money!

I think they are a different price, but the same system, maybe the tips are different.

these cars go through cheapo mild steel exhausts very quickly, if you invest in stainless steel, its a lot cheaper an option over the longer term, with no maintainance. :)

Wow I can finally log on, well at least until my pc overheats and dies again.

Just to add to this thread, I had a mongoose on my last standard engine and when tested it made 98Dbs at about 6k so for track use will be fine.
Its not an excessive noise and I actually preferred it to most other exhausts out there.
