Torn Pipe/Temperature issues
Hi everyone,
having some issues with my engine temperature fluctuating massively, similar to this post here:
https://mr2oc.co.uk/forum/topic/strange ... 69535.html
Had a look into my coolant system as i assumed just needed topping up, and spotted this tear at the bottom of the engine. could anyone shed some light into what this pipe is, and if it’s related to these coolant issues i seem to be having. Many thanks.

Re: Torn Pipe/Temperature issues
No idea what your trying to show in the pictures, can you highlight what concerns you. If your temp is fluctuationing then you probably need to bleed the system properly, sooner rather than later, these engines do not like overheating. This KY2 article explains how to change the coolant/ bleed the cooling system, start from section 25 for bleeding

Hiya, reattached a photo circling the issue, just looked back and realised it was not at all clear.
Thanks for your advice on bleeding the coolant, just been avoiding driving it recently until i get a chance to properly look it over, but will get done asap if that’s the only pressing issue.

No idea what that pipe is for, some kind of cold air feed ? Doesn't look standard, looks like some kind of spiral flexi pipe ?
Look in KY2, there's an article with standard engine bay pictures
